South African producer and DJ Caiiro has reworked Salif Keita’s classic ‘Madan’, releasing the remix on 9 October 2026 via Universal Music South Africa and Decca Records France.
The new version brings the Malian singer’s celebrated track into Afro House territory, combining deep percussion, atmospheric melodies and a club-oriented rhythm. The release connects the legacy of one of West Africa’s most recognisable musical voices with the contemporary South African electronic scene.
The remix has already received support from several prominent DJs, including MoBlack, Shimza, Da Capo, Darque and Major League DJz, building anticipation ahead of its official release.
With this reinterpretation, Caiiro offers a new perspective on a track that has reached audiences well beyond its original musical context, bringing ‘Madan’ to a new generation of dancefloors.
