The new album by danish dj and producer Kölsch is titled “I Talk to Water” released on October 2023, Friday 27th for the german record label Kompakt. The album consists of twelve tracks that weave Kölsch’s past, present and future, driven by his desire to transform pain into solace. “I Talk to Water” is an heartfelt tribute to Kölsch’s father, musician Patrick Reilly, who passed away in 2003. Specifically, the tracks “Grape” “Tell Me” and “It Ends Where It Began” incorporate recordings of Patrick Reilly playing the guitar. The majority of the album was composed during the pandemic and its various lockdowns, serving as a homage to Kölsch’s deeply felt connection with his father. This work solidifies Kölsch’s status as a top-tier artist from Scandinavia.

Kölsch’s discography began in 2010 with the production of several volumes for Kompakt’s Speicher series. He continued his musical journey with the trilogy of albums “1977” “1983” and “1989”. The single “Grey” was released from the album “1989” and became a hit, accumulating nearly 50 million streams on Spotify. Kölsch also collaborated with renowned artists such as Michael Mayer, Tiga and Sasha, and curated a compilation for fabric in 2019. The following year, he released the album “Now Here No Where”, marking his return to Kompakt. Throughout this time, Kölsch continued to perform at the finest clubs and festivals worldwide.
