On Thursday 24th and Friday 25th April 2025, the first edition of 1001 Festival took place in the Binban desert. At the gates of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, MDLBeast – the same organisation as Soundstorm and XP Music Futures – thus proposed a new festival of its own, drawing inspiration from the most popular and passed-down tales of the Middle East to offer a two-day event featuring the best of electronic music and in which each stage told its own story.
Qafilah Stage was reminiscent of a nomadic caravan, Quasar was inspired by the ballrooms of sultans, Bustan recalled an oasis, Sahaab a magic carpet. In such a well-groomed and accurate context, the DJs in the line-up were able to give the best of themselves: ARTBAT, Bustan, Dj Snake, Dixon, Dj Tennis, Eric Prydz, Hot Since 82, Mochakk, Nicole Moudaber, Salvatore Ganacci and Seth Troxler were able to constantly capture the attention of the audience present with their house and techno music selections, each with their own style.
With 1001 Festival MDLBeast once again confirmed its increasingly central role with regard to festivals and music events not only in the MENA region but also in a global context.
