On Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November 2025, Tomorrowland made its debut in China with its first-ever indoor edition. In collaboration with Hero Esports, INS Land, and Budweiser, the brand-new Hero Dome in Shanghai transformed into the epicenter of something truly unique, bringing together over 10,000 people on both days.

The Hero Dome—a 100-by-120-meter structure completed in just five months—provided the perfect stage for a two-day celebration where music, culture, fashion, gastronomy, and technology blended seamlessly, marking a new milestone for Chinese, Asian, and global entertainment.

A powerful mix of global stars and local talent

Tomorrowland’s Shanghai edition showcased a vibrant combination of international stars and standout local talent. Dimitri Vegas closed the first night with an electrifying set, joined by Chinese superstar Masiwei for a surprise appearance that sent the crowd into a frenzy. In the Budweiser Hall, Chris Lorenzo delivered his signature sound, while DubVision, Matisse & Sadko, and Third Party joined forces for a high-energy b3b performance.

Local talents Tiger Drama, DJ Sally, and Halo added an authentic touch of Shanghai energy, while Belgian artist Amber Broos performed alongside China’s Meguru in a dynamic set. In contrast, Henri PFR offered a warm and melodic afternoon journey. Later on, Don Diablo reignited the audience with a live collaboration featuring rapper-producer GALI, followed by Amelie Lens, who captivated the crowd with her always impeccable techno. Andromedik delivered his signature drum & bass energy, while Apashe impressed the audience with a stunning audiovisual performance.

A production masterpiece

Tomorrowland succeeded in delivering an extraordinary technical production, built entirely locally and fully compliant with Chinese safety regulations. A team of 20 Belgian and Dutch specialists supported the creation of the scenography, stages, food areas, merchandise shops, and costumes. The Paperworld Stage featured over 1,000 moving lights, nearly 400 m² of LED screens, 20 lasers, and a 45-meter catwalk, while the Butterfly Stage showcased giant LED butterflies, 700 m² of video walls, custom lighting, and numerous special effects.

A new chapter for Tomorrowland

By combining safety, local craftsmanship, and Tomorrowland’s signature magic, the two-day event in Shanghai proved that the festival’s immersive universe can shine indoors just as brightly as in its renowned open-air editions in Belgium, Brazil, and France.

“Our goal was to bring the magic of Tomorrowland to this incredible global stage – the festival team stated – Shanghai welcomed us with open arms—the energy was unforgettable”.
