Amsterdam Dance Event and Amsterdam 750 will join forces to celebrate the Dutch capital’s 750th anniversary, embracing unity and the sharing of music and culture. On October 2025, Monday 27th Amsterdam will mark its 750th birthday, the day after the conclusion of the 2025 edition of ADE.
ADE Arts & Culture x750
As part of ADE Arts & Culture, the crossover platform that brings together music, visual arts, performance, and a wide range of experiences, ADE will present the special week ADE Arts & Culture x750. Each day, ADE will showcase a dedicated event in some of Amsterdam’s most iconic locations. The program begins on Wednesday, October 22 at ARTIS Planetarium with concerts by Suzanne Ciani and Julius Horsthuis, followed on Thursday, October 23 at the Concertgebouw with Suriname Rising – 50 Years of Freedom in Music, a celebration of Surinamese culture and its electronic influences. On Friday, October 24, Thomaskerk will host ZERØBPM, a 39.5-hour ambient meditation marathon featuring 26 artists. On Saturday, October 25, Wereldmuseum Amsterdam will spotlight Chinese club culture. To crown the celebrations, on Monday, October 27, the Concertgebouw will host ambient sessions by Young Marco, Legowelt, and Mary Lake: a heartfelt tribute to Amsterdam on its 750th birthday.
ADE Friends x750
The ADE Friends program is known for its daytime activities ranging from social projects to fashion, sports, and lifestyle. For the 2025 edition, ADE is collaborating with Amsterdam 750. The result, ADE Friends x750, offers residents and visitors a program spanning nearly 130 venues and hundreds of events, including in-store DJ sessions, live radio broadcasts, music-themed sports events, vinyl marathons, and much more. The program is almost entirely free of charge and serves as an open invitation for all of Amsterdam to join the celebrations and experience some of ADE’s most engaging community events.
